Hi, there! I am eager to put together a dynamite ensemble of 8-16 adult singers for SATB musical arrangements. Are you "up" for some serious hard work and performance fun in our community? The East Bay Singers Group would sing a capella and accompanied music. I am imagining the ensemble performing a variety of styles and perhaps some choreographed movement that might be appropriate to the style of music (not complex dancing, in other words, so no worries!). My goal would be to put together …

Weekly singing of simple (and increasingly sophisticated) 3- and 4-part harmonies. Big fun. As Brian Eno says: "I believe that singing is the key to long life, a good figure, a stable temperament, increased intelligence, new friends, super self-confidence, heightened sexual attractiveness and a better sense of humor." http://tinyurl.com/5wv9pl There are practice tracks and sheet music under More > Files. Each week we'll publish one song that we're going to learn, so that anyone who attends can p …

This group was started to bring carol signing to local San Francisco neighborhoods on Christmas Eve. Come one, come all - neither age nor gender matter, and the more the merrier! Anyone who knows a few carols and would like to bring holiday cheer to our locale should join. Carol sheets are provided. All levels of singers are welcome though some knowledge of the most popular carols does help as does comfort with sight-singing (that is, singing music from a sheet, without accompaniment).

Each session includes breathing and vocal warm ups, a short session in sight singing, and most of all lots of singing and harmonizing. We encourage beginners as well as seasoned group singers. The only thing we ask is that you can carry a tune. (BTW If you can’t carry a tune or are not sure, give Dale a call; she has had great success over the years …
My desire to form this group, is rooted in my love of sound. I'm especially inspired by what happens when 'two or more' are gathered for voice improvisation and toning; healing through artistic channels. There is great joy in unifying our voice with another as well as the excitement of 'being on the edge' of allowing the voice to travel, while listening to another. I would like this group to be in artistic and soulful integrity. If you want to inspire, be inspired, and expand into/through sound, …

Seeking anyone who enjoys making music with their mouth like Bobby McFerrin. Do you sing, whistle, or beat box? Actual instruments are NOT needed, but skilled musicians are still welcome. I hope to unite a mix of interesting people and styles for a recording and performance project. Most beat box is like rap or pop beats, so maybe we can take it to a new level with big band classics or jazz standards. I would value any feedback so we can get this group started. Thank you ~Gino Jazz

This group is here because 1) I love jazz and 2) the music is always better in person because you can feel how much the musicians become absorbed into the music. But whenever I ask my friends to check out a live jazz concert or show the answer is always lukewarm at best. It can't be that the 30 and under group is just not into jazz because I know there are so many young musicians in jazz bands all over the Bay Area. So here's a chance for all young jazz lovers to gather and check out all the gre …
We are a group of house concert enthusiasts in the Bay Area. This group is created as a resource so that house concert hosts can find additional audience, artists can make friends with hosts, and music lovers can discover interesting house concerts in their area. Don't be scared off if a show only has one or two RSVPs, because most of our hosts get most of their audience from their own series regulars who may not RSVP here. Here is how it works: Each event you post will automatically become an o …
